Sebastian Call's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Kerry Sellers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's Alonso Larsen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eric Snowden took the corner. The corner led to C. A. Independiente's Claudio Marangoni getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 25 played minutes CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Call. CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sid Chadwick 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. If Donald Kaczor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 38 in the game by Sid Chadwick from a close distance when the talented Alonso Larsen managed to make a qualified save. CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's players were relieved. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dudu Ferraz in the 41st minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Forbes to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Forbes came free, but Alonso Larsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Lucas Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the CHŁOPKI ROZTROPKI players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Independiente.
