The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Huang got free with Jospeh McNally in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erik Huang in the 18th minute. Baykan Erincer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Beard in the 19th minute of the match. After 23 minutes of play, Brooklyn SC's Walter Spivey made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baykan Erincer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Akakios Kountouratzis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jospeh McNally read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Brooklyn SC from getting a goal against them. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Burrell in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute Garth Burrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baykan Erincer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Cole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brooklyn SC's Jonas Cole managed to work through DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jonas Cole dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Brooklyn SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Kazimierz Traczewski scored to the left of an out of position Jospeh McNally, making the score, 1-1.

A collision led to Brooklyn SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Stacy McDonough hit a great ball. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baykan Erincer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Beard in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kazimierz Traczewski in the 60th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Augustin came free, but Baykan Erincer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brooklyn SC were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jonas Cole took the corner. Baykan Erincer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Augustin in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Garth Burrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jospeh McNally was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod West in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jospeh McNally prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Garth Burrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
