A sloppy throw-in by Al Whatley in the 46th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Evan McMahon. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Traczewski in the 55th minute of play. Nicky Bryson had several of the DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Baykan Erincer as he didn't even see the shot coming. Baykan Erincer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicky Bryson's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jannes Ruttens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kazimierz Traczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as C. A. Pipon Pipon's Nicky Bryson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baykan Erincer. That made the score 0-5 after 68 minutes of play. A throw-in in the 70th minute of the game was made by Al Whatley with Jose José as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 72 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO got a freekick which was hit by Garth Burrell. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO made a substitution. Rod West replaced Kazimierz Traczewski. Beto Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baykan Erincer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Rod West fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Ruttens having to interfere. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Francesco Figueroa was substituted for Jose José. The crowd rose to their feet as Malcolm McIntosh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baykan Erincer. That made the score 0-6 in the 86 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rod West in the 89th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Rod West had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jannes Ruttens. C. A. Pipon Pipon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rod West was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Rod West got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Baykan Erincer got control of the ball when Malcolm McIntosh tried to sneak it across the goal line.
