Spectators: 10940 (Terracing: 8206, Seating: 2516, VIP seats: 218) New England Minas's Edgardo Silva started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Edgardo Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jospeh McNally was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. In the 10th minute of the match New England Minas got a corner. Brooklyn SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Glen Conklin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jörgen Frohm got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 11 minutes into the match. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Augustin in the 16th minute of play. Edgardo Silva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Jospeh McNally when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 19 minutes of play, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jospeh McNally was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Felix Augustin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Edgardo Silva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jospeh McNally. The goal made the score 3-0. 28 minutes into the game, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jospeh McNally made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alperen Öksüz in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd play minute Edgardo Silva came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jospeh McNally. 5-0. Jeremy Nicholas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Edgardo Silva sped through Brooklyn SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jospeh McNally. When Edgardo Silva came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the New England Minas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Silva couldn't finish the play. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Silva in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Felix Augustin made a kick off. Rickey Ewing made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Dwight Schrute however managed to control. Edgardo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jospeh McNally having to interfere. In the 57th minute Jonas Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Jeremy Nicholas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Felix Augustin in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 64 minutes, Edgardo Silva made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Edgardo Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jospeh McNally. Brooklyn SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. After 76 played minutes New England Minas got a freekick which was hit by Tony Pacheco. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when New England Minas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Sito in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to New England Minas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Oscar Nordmark hit a great ball. If Trenton Long had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Arturo Sito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jospeh McNally was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. New England Minas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
