Spectators: 10856 (Terracing: 8144, Seating: 2496, VIP seats: 216) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sidney Forbes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ladislao Gines's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Farid Mondragón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Gines in the 4th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Gines in the 8th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Veniamin Tziortzopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jude Crocker acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Eric Snowden. Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ladislao Gines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ladislao Gines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Gines in the 22nd minute of play. Ladislao Gines struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Farid Mondragón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Creekers. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ladislao Gines in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Farid Mondragón saved C. A. Independiente from getting behind. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ladislao Gines in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Farid Mondragón prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 31 minutes into the game, Erberk Müftüoğlu threw the ball into play from the sideline. Creekers's Leevi Kampman quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 33rd minute, C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Creekers's Ladislao Gines in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Claudio Marangoni hit a great ball. Farid Mondragón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Gines in the 41st minute of the match. When Creekers's Ladislao Gines in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C. A. Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ladislao Gines was the one to do the kick off. Ladislao Gines took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Farid Mondragón. Farid Mondragón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. C. A. Independiente made a substitution. Pan Jing Qi replaced Ryszard Prusinowski. After 61 played minutes Creekers got a freekick which was hit by Riley Trotter. Kerry Sellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jude Crocker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerry Sellers ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Creekers's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Sellers came free, but Jude Crocker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Gines. Riley Trotter kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Creekers's Leevi Kampman got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 72nd minute of play forced Creekers's goalkeeper Jude Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Sidney Forbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Crocker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Reynaldo Driscoll kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Farid Mondragón. That made the score 2-3 in the 81 minute of play. Leevi Kampman hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. When Felo Riquelme fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Creekers's protests and gave Felo Riquelme a yellow card for diving instead. Reynaldo Driscoll took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Farid Mondragón. Farid Mondragón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. When the final whistle sounded Creekers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C. A. Independiente.
