The audience was convinced that Nicky Bryson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guilherme Veiga was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Trey Echols hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Nicky Bryson notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga. Guilherme Veiga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Larry Cermak. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Bryson in the 67th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guilherme Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jannes Ruttens made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson sent off a good shot on target. Jannes Ruttens was a little too slow when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-1. Jannes Ruttens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Echols in the 75th minute of play. Jannes Ruttens came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Miami Futbol Club's Trey Echols. But to his dismay, Trey Echols quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jannes Ruttens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Bryson in the 89th minute of play forced Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalkeeper Guilherme Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Lanny Valle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Lanny Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guilherme Veiga. Racing Miami Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lanny Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. C. A.
