The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Baykan Erincer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 12th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genaro Cassidy to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Correia came free, but Jarrod Leary reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Cassidy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Baykan Erincer made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Kazimierz Traczewski notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jarrod Leary. Jarrod Leary was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anton Swanson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Baykan Erincer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarrod Leary came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Kazimierz Traczewski. But to his dismay, Kazimierz Traczewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 41st minute Paulo Renato Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Cassidy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Larry Cermak. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kazimierz Traczewski to make the kick off. Kazimierz Traczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Erik Huang got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 72 played minutes DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Garth Burrell stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Jarrod Leary stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Racing Miami Futbol Club of the goal. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Rod West was substituted for Kazimierz Traczewski. DIABLO ROJO CALIFORNIANO's Joey Tribbiani was substituted for Akakios Kountouratzis. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Trey Echols got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xu Yuan Lin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute Rod West shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Chance Adams ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baykan Erincer was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Tyrone Terrell hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
