Spectators: 9300 (Terracing: 7000, Seating: 2150, VIP seats: 150) C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Gerardo Beard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brooklyn SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Beard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Farid Mondragón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jospeh McNally made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 10thth minute of the game Kerry Sellers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kerry Sellers took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jospeh McNally. Jospeh McNally dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Brooklyn SC's Rickey Ewing managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tomas Gustafson in the 14 minute of the game. 16 minutes into the game, C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jospeh McNally made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Farid Mondragón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trenton Long in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Pan Jing Qi. If Gerardo Beard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 26th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Forbes in the 27th managed to get into a good position. Eric Snowden was slow to take the kick. During this time C. A. Independiente's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sidney Forbes hit a great ball. When Sid Chadwick fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Sid Chadwick a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when C. A. Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sid Chadwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Brooklyn SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C. A. Independiente were winning 1-4.

C. A. Independiente's Tommie Bolton was substituted for Sidney Forbes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Beard to strike the kick off in the second half. Felix Augustin kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Jospeh McNally made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Tommie Bolton sent off a good shot on target. Rickey Ewing made in the 63rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dwight Schrute. The audience was convinced that Gerardo Beard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farid Mondragón was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Farid Mondragón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trenton Long, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The C. A. Independiente players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
