After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Lewis Andrew Cipriani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piarco Falcons's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Andrew Cipriani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Piarco Falcons's Wintley Simmons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raffique Rampaul in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Piarco Falcons's goalkeeper Wintley Simmons, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute Deryck Smith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wintley Simmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wintley Simmons didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raffique Rampaul went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lewis Andrew Cipriani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gerald Ramjohn-Richards tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deryck Smith in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wintley Simmons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 88 minutes into the match, Deryck Smith notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Piarco Falcons's Wintley Simmons. Wintley Simmons was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lewis Andrew Cipriani struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Gerald Ramjohn-Richards didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piarco Falcons. Sonny Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piarco Falcons's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
