Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Curepe's Pete Theobald started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Seiva Strikers's goalkeeper Vasant Fabien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 5th minute, Lawrence Anwar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, Eric Minshall was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Seiva Strikers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Curepe the free kick. After a rather tough play, La Seiva Strikers's Eric Minshall got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ato Millette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominic Adams having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ato Millette managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Seiva Strikers's supporters rose to their feet, but Ato Millette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominic Adams breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ato Millette in the 33rd minute of play forced Curepe's goalkeeper Dominic Adams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominic Adams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold Hamilton-Maurice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Curepe booed when La Seiva Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauderic Williams didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasant Fabien acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Surujpat Minshall. 45 minutes into the game, La Seiva Strikers's Harold Hamilton-Maurice nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dominic Adams made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Harold Hamilton-Maurice to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Curepe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lawrence Anwar to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Lawrence Anwar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute, Stokely Mohammed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute, Danny Joseph got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danny Joseph in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasant Fabien saved La Seiva Strikers from getting behind. A collision led to La Seiva Strikers getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Stokely Mohammed hit a great ball. Danny Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harold Hamilton-Maurice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Curepe getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dominic Adams hit a great ball. Lennox McDonald's late challenge caught a La Seiva Strikers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennox McDonald helped the player get up and apologised. Roodal Whitley walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Harold Hamilton-Maurice had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pete Theobald in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vasant Fabien saved La Seiva Strikers from getting behind. Pete Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vasant Fabien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pete Sinanan hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Pete Theobald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasant Fabien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pete Theobald in the 83rd minute of play. Pete Sinanan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Vasant Fabien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pete Theobald took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vasant Fabien. Vasant Fabien dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, La Seiva Strikers's Stokely Mohammed got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Seiva Strikers's goalkeeper Vasant Fabien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 minutes, Stokely Mohammed mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Seiva Strikers and the Curepe players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Curepe booed when La Seiva Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stokely Mohammed didn't get a good kick on the ball.
