Navet's Oliver Mohan pulled a muscle in his leg after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Trevor Assoon fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orange Valley Fire's protests and gave Trevor Assoon a yellow card for diving instead. Trevor Assoon kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Francis Beetham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephen Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Stephen Thompson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francis Beetham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Baldeosingh in the 38th minute of play. Stephen Thompson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sugar Duke's late challenge caught a Orange Valley Fire's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sugar Duke helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Navet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sugar Duke to maneuver through the defense. Francis Beetham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Baldeosingh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stephen Thompson was the one to do the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Lewis Baldeosingh got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Isaiah Sammy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basdeo Mohammed having to interfere. Orange Valley Fire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stephen Thompson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes Navet got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Lyons. 94 minutes in the game, Stephen Thompson dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 97th minute Stephen Thompson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francis Beetham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite being the better team, Orange Valley Fire failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
