In the 16th minute, Gillian Ganga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Devon Carter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chase Village's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eckel Village the free kick. In the 18th minute, Devon Carter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute of the match Mustapha McBurnie shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daren David showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Grégory Sawh charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Eckel Village booed when Chase Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rawle Cupid didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gary Dan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Roger Diamond made a huge save. In the 40th minute, one of Chase Village:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chase Village. The referee gave Eckel Village a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mustapha McBurnie, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chase Village's Daren David. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gillian Ganga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sahadeo Granger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gary Dan in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Diamond prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute, Trent Stalin fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Gillian Ganga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Roger Diamond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gary Dan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
