Spectators: 9193 (Terracing: 6896, Seating: 2114, VIP seats: 183) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ernani Bueno got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Lendl Hanomansing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khaleem Abdul-Hamid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Vasant de Boissièrre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dwayne Sinanan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Punta Pigeon's Ernani Bueno got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute of the match, Ernani Bueno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dwayne Sinanan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kendall Duke hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 22 minutes, Kendall Duke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guaico and the Punta Pigeon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Philip Sammy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lendl Hanomansing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guaico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lendl Hanomansing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khaleem Abdul-Hamid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th match minute, Guaico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil London to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lendl Hanomansing to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Guaico got a freekick which was hit by Neil London. Dwayne Sinanan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernani Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Lendl Hanomansing took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Khaleem Abdul-Hamid. Khaleem Abdul-Hamid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Bell in the 68th minute of play forced Punta Pigeon's goalkeeper Khaleem Abdul-Hamid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Peru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lendl Hanomansing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Guaico booed when Punta Pigeon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Glen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Paolo Peru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teddy Daaga took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dwayne Sinanan. Dwayne Sinanan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 79th match minute, Guaico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kendall Duke to maneuver through the defense. Philip Sammy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Khaleem Abdul-Hamid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lendl Hanomansing in the 84th minute of play. After 85 minutes, Darryl Glen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Punta Pigeon and the Guaico players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Bell in the 87th minute of play forced Punta Pigeon's goalkeeper Khaleem Abdul-Hamid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Peru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaleem Abdul-Hamid having to interfere. With a little luck, Punta Pigeon's Khaleem Abdul-Hamid got control of the ball when Ravi Stalin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
