Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gillian Ganga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelius Minshall in the 7th minute of play forced Chase Village's goalkeeper Daren David to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everald Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daren David having to make a save. Cornelius Minshall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Chase Village's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelius Minshall came free, but Daren David reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chase Village's zone, Everald Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daren David came out of the goal and Everald Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chase Village's Daren David played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Everald Mendes in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Cornelius Minshall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daren David. Chase Village's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelius Minshall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 29th minute, Ato Jabari Simmons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daren David showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everald Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Cornelius Minshall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Chase Village's Gillian Ganga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Russel Selvon. That made the score 1-1 after 38 minutes of play. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Preysal Rangers's goalkeeper Russel Selvon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chase Village's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hubert Gomes in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everald Mendes to strike the kick off in the second half. Drupatee Persaud hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Everald Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gillian Ganga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute of the match, Everald Mendes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Daren David saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Gary Dan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Gary Dan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russel Selvon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daren David showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everald Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 95 minutes, Edgar Mortimer Hunte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Preysal Rangers and the Chase Village players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Preysal Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Mortimer Hunte to maneuver through the defense. Chase Village's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
