The referee ignored Longdenville's protests and gave Neeshan Body a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Longdenville's Neeshan Body got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Brother Lion reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mikela Jeffers. The goal made the score 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, Steve Elcock notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Одеська академія's Philmore Butler. Philmore Butler was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Steve Elcock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longdenville's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Elcock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philmore Butler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brother Lion was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Longdenville's Leonard Harris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philmore Butler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Leonard Harris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philmore Butler having to interfere. Steve Elcock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Brother Lion's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikela Jeffers was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Simbhoonath Eve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th match minute, Одеська академія was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramesh Ganga to maneuver through the defense. Leonard Harris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philmore Butler having to interfere. Одеська академія's Philmore Butler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Elcock in the 82nd minute of play. Philmore Butler came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Longdenville's Leonard Harris. But to his dismay, Leonard Harris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Leonard Harris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Steve Elcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Longdenville's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
