After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chase Village's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Samuel Shah was slow to take the kick. During this time Longdenville's players had a chance to rest. Leonard Harris struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Daren David didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longdenville. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gary Dan couldn't finish the play.
