Spectators: 9102 (Terracing: 6919, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darren Persaud started the match with the kick off. Preysal Rangers's Cornelius Minshall got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Preysal Rangers's Everald Mendes in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Trinitense Mecánica's goalie prevented a goal. If Winston Ramnath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Trinitense Mecánica's goalkeeper Robert Baldeosingh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Preysal Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Mortimer Hunte. When Edmundo Spencer fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Preysal Rangers's protests and gave Edmundo Spencer a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of La Trinitense Mecánica booed when Preysal Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Spencer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cornelius Minshall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Preysal Rangers's Russel Selvon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Preysal Rangers from getting a goal against them. If Edmundo Spencer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Baldeosingh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelius Minshall, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Everald Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Baldeosingh having to make a save. Robert Baldeosingh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelius Minshall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Everald Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preysal Rangers's supporters rose to their feet, but Everald Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Baldeosingh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cornelius Minshall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Robert Baldeosingh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everald Mendes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robert Baldeosingh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After 47 played minutes, Preysal Rangers's Clayton Hennessy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robert Baldeosingh came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Preysal Rangers reached it. The La Trinitense Mecánica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Preysal Rangers were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Everald Mendes made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Edgar Mortimer Hunte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Preysal Rangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Trinitense Mecánica the free kick. In the 52nd minute, Edgar Mortimer Hunte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Everald Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Baldeosingh was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Cornelius Minshall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Preysal Rangers's Everald Mendes managed to work through La Trinitense Mecánica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Everald Mendes dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cornelius Minshall put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Robert Baldeosingh. Cornelius Minshall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the game, Cornelius Minshall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Robert Baldeosingh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 89 minutes, Cornelius Minshall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Preysal Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cornelius Minshall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Everald Mendes came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Preysal Rangers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everald Mendes couldn't finish the play. If Cornelius Minshall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, one of La Trinitense Mecánica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for La Trinitense Mecánica. When the match was over Preysal Rangers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Trinitense Mecánica throughout the match.
