Maraval Is Love's Rodney Ayoung-Chee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Sawh in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Maraval Is Love's Gaskynd Zamora ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gibran Peltier. Gibran Peltier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Tibures del oriente's goalkeeper Gibran Peltier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tibures del oriente's zone, Gaskynd Zamora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gibran Peltier came out of the goal and Gaskynd Zamora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hector Tiwari got free with Gibran Peltier in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the game, Steve Walcott was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tibures del oriente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maraval Is Love the free kick. The supporters of Maraval Is Love booed when Tibures del oriente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steve Walcott didn't get a good kick on the ball.
