Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Roger Jones made the kick off and thus started the match. After 6 played minutes San Fernando Fire got a freekick which was hit by Subhas Abdul-Hamid. Mohammed Rougier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Jones in the 7th minute of play. Roderick Moonilal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertille Jeffers having to interfere. Roderick Moonilal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Bertille Jeffers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of San Fernando Fire booed when Oropune Village United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Russel Bishop didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Roger Jones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oropune Village United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Jones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mohammed Rougier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Jones in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohammed Rougier saved San Fernando Fire from getting behind. Roderick Moonilal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertille Jeffers having to interfere. Kevon Cummings recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sanjiv Edwards had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Roger Jones came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Oropune Village United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Jones couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Roderick Moonilal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertille Jeffers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, San Fernando Fire's Mohammed Rougier got control of the ball when Sanjiv Edwards tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Oropune Village United's Roger Jones ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mohammed Rougier. Mohammed Rougier yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roderick Moonilal to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Fire's Subhas Abdul-Hamid got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Roger Jones made a precise shot to the right of Mohammed Rougier. San Fernando Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Mohammed Rougier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanjiv Edwards in the 61st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Roger Jones put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Mohammed Rougier. Mohammed Rougier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Jones in the 66th minute of the match. Mohammed Rougier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Jones went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Roger Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roger Jones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Rougier having to interfere. Mohammed Rougier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Jones in the 91st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oropune Village United had played much better football throughout.
