The audience thought a goal was coming when Mervyn Jagdeosingh got free with Bertille Jeffers in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sanjiv Edwards struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Darryl Ramdin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oropune Village United. A collision led to Oropune Village United getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Mikela Sooklal hit a great ball. Oropune Village United's Bertille Jeffers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Oropune Village United from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oropune Village United's goalkeeper Bertille Jeffers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Billy Chancellor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertille Jeffers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Billy Chancellor, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as El Dorado's Billy Chancellor slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bertille Jeffers. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Oropune Village United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Dorado:s goal. The referee gave El Dorado a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Brian Chadee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Oropune Village United's Bertille Jeffers. 2-0. Charles Thompson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charles Thompson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to El Dorado getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Charles Thompson hit a great ball. Mervyn Jagdeosingh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Bertille Jeffers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Mervyn Jagdeosingh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bertille Jeffers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Oropune Village United's zone, Billy Chancellor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertille Jeffers came out of the goal and Billy Chancellor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Jones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mervyn Jagdeosingh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertille Jeffers having to interfere. Mervyn Jagdeosingh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Bertille Jeffers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Mervyn Jagdeosingh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Dorado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oropune Village United the free kick. Bertille Jeffers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mervyn Jagdeosingh, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oropune Village United's zone, Billy Chancellor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. El Dorado's Mervyn Jagdeosingh got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mervyn Jagdeosingh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 75 played minutes El Dorado got a freekick which was hit by Lloyd Hospedales. Roger Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Darryl Ramdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bertille Jeffers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mervyn Jagdeosingh, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the El Dorado players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
