Spectators: 8050 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mervyn Gay started the match with the kick off. When Mervyn Gay came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Trou Macaque fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mervyn Gay couldn't finish the play. If José Hamel-Smith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Hamel-Smith came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mohammed Rougier could save by the left post. 12 minutes into the match, San Fernando Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Mervyn Gay came free, but Mohammed Rougier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. San Fernando Fire's Mohammed Rougier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mervyn Gay in the 16th minute of play. Kevon Cummings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mortimer Ayoung-Chee having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Trou Macaque's Wes String Band got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Wes String Band fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trou Macaque's protests and gave Wes String Band a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Trou Macaque getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Wes String Band hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Roderick Moonilal made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Trou Macaque's Mortimer Ayoung-Chee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Trou Macaque's goal looked a bit too open when Roderick Moonilal came free, but Mortimer Ayoung-Chee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Fernando Fire's Bas Holder got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Roderick Moonilal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trou Macaque's Mortimer Ayoung-Chee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roderick Moonilal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mohammed Rougier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mervyn Gay, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roderick Moonilal made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Mervyn Gay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kevon Cummings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Kevon Cummings managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Fernando Fire's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevon Cummings was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trou Macaque's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kern Mohan was slow to take the kick. During this time San Fernando Fire's players had a chance to rest. San Fernando Fire's Kern Mohan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mortimer Ayoung-Chee in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 63 minutes of play Trou Macaque's Wes String Band was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Trou Macaque getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Wes String Band hit a great ball. Colm Glenn's late challenge caught a Trou Macaque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Colm Glenn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Colm Glenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohammed Rougier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Hamel-Smith in the 89th minute of the match. Bas Holder hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Hamel-Smith in the 91st minute of play forced San Fernando Fire's goalkeeper Mohammed Rougier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Hamel-Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammed Rougier having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Trou Macaque's José Hamel-Smith made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mohammed Rougier was left in no man's land by his defense there!
