Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eckel Village's Jamaal Sinanan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Canute Abdul-Hamid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes String Band in the 3rd minute of play. Raffique Simmons's late challenge caught a Eckel Village's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raffique Simmons helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Trou Macaque got a freekick which was hit by Raffique Simmons. Trou Macaque's Mortimer Ayoung-Chee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamaal Sinanan in the 6th minute of play. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamaal Sinanan, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Trou Macaque's goalkeeper Mortimer Ayoung-Chee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jamaal Sinanan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee came out and tried to block the shot, but Jamaal Sinanan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. In the 27th minute Jamaal Sinanan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mortimer Ayoung-Chee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mervyn Gay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Canute Abdul-Hamid having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Mervyn Gay notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Eckel Village's Canute Abdul-Hamid. Canute Abdul-Hamid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute, Mervyn Gay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Eckel Village getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Permanand St Clair hit a great ball. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamaal Sinanan in the 42nd minute of play. If Permanand St Clair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Eckel Village's goalkeeper Canute Abdul-Hamid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Eckel Village's Canute Abdul-Hamid got control of the ball when José Hamel-Smith tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamaal Sinanan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Drupatee Mark's late challenge caught a Eckel Village's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Hamel-Smith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Canute Abdul-Hamid having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Mervyn Gay put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Canute Abdul-Hamid. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamaal Sinanan went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. When Jamaal Sinanan came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Eckel Village fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamaal Sinanan couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jamaal Sinanan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eckel Village's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamaal Sinanan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mortimer Ayoung-Chee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jamaal Sinanan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
