The Chaguanas AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute Paula Toure shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krishna Taitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Osei Webber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krishna Taitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paula Toure in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Surujrattan Baboolal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chaguanas AC's Edmundo William Rampersad didn't even have to move. The supporters of Scarborough Town booed when Chaguanas AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Bishop didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes, Chaguanas AC's Bhadase Solomon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Krishna Taitt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chaguanas AC reached it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Surujrattan Baboolal was the one to do the kick off. Chaguanas AC's Mojah Ramcharan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Krishna Taitt but with some difficulty. Chaguanas AC's Edmundo William Rampersad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Surujrattan Baboolal in the 62nd minute of play. Paula Toure charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paula Toure the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Chaguanas AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paula Toure to maneuver through the defense. When Paula Toure was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. After 80 played minutes Chaguanas AC got a freekick which was hit by Paula Toure. Edmundo William Rampersad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Surujrattan Baboolal's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. The Scarborough Town fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Scarborough Town's Surujrattan Baboolal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Scarborough Town's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
