Jonathan Tiger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Standiford String Band showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Chaguanas Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Baksh came free, but Clyde Chambers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clyde Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delon Assoon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Chaguanas Strikers getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Standiford String Band hit a great ball. The supporters of Chaguanas Strikers booed when Carapichaima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devant Prabhoo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute, Rudolph Cipriani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clyde Chambers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Baksh in the 39th minute of the match. During the 41st minute of the match Edward Webber completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edward Webber a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 41 played minutes Carapichaima got a freekick which was hit by Edward Webber. With a little luck, Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger got control of the ball when Raffique Mannette tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes, Standiford String Band made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Devant Prabhoo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clyde Chambers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After 54 played minutes Carapichaima got a freekick which was hit by Devant Prabhoo. Chaguanas Strikers's Standiford String Band got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Standiford String Band in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Tiger saved Carapichaima from getting behind. Krishna Bednob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jonathan Tiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Delon Assoon charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delon Assoon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Chaguanas Strikers booed when Carapichaima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delon Assoon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the game, Standiford String Band cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Tiger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Standiford String Band in the 66th minute of play forced Carapichaima's goalkeeper Jonathan Tiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes of play Carapichaima's Delon Assoon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 92ndth minute of the game Standiford String Band who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chaguanas Strikers fully deserved thier win.
