Spectators: 10811 (Terracing: 8110, Seating: 2486, VIP seats: 215) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emirares Bastos made the kick off which started today's match. Edmundo William Rampersad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Baksh in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Emirares Bastos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Tiger was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The supporters of Chaguanas AC booed when Carapichaima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devant Prabhoo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emirares Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Chaguanas AC's goal looked a bit too open when Delon Assoon came free, but Edmundo William Rampersad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenneth Joyce kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Emirares Bastos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Jonathan Tiger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Teddy Hudson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Paula Toure managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chaguanas AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paula Toure was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Tiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. During the 26th minute of the match Kenneth Joyce completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kenneth Joyce a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carapichaima! If Anton Baksh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emirares Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Tiger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emirares Bastos in the 40th minute. Edmundo William Rampersad came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carapichaima's Sundar Beckles. But to his dismay, Sundar Beckles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 48th minute of the match Chaguanas AC got a corner. Carapichaima's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mojah Ramcharan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mojah Ramcharan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger did a great save. 48 minutes into the match, Chaguanas AC's Jean Noel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Tiger narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Baksh made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Devant Prabhoo got free with Edmundo William Rampersad in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emirares Bastos in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Tiger saved Carapichaima from getting behind. Anton Baksh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Baksh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo William Rampersad having to interfere. If Devant Prabhoo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Baksh let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 90th minute shot 1-3 at rihgt post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emirares Bastos in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Tiger saved Carapichaima from getting behind. Jonathan Tiger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emirares Bastos's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carapichaima had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
