Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Reyad Jorsling got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Reyad Jorsling's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Tiger was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. The supporters of Carapichaima booed when Syne Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devon Betancourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Syne Village's Reyad Jorsling in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carapichaima's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Tiger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reyad Jorsling, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reyad Jorsling in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Tiger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Reyad Jorsling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Syne Village fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Noor Le Hunte was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Syne Village fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Delon Assoon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th match minute, Syne Village was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerry Toure to maneuver through the defense. Arthur Williams might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Tiger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Williams ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delon Assoon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Basdeo Barriteau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carapichaima and the Syne Village players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 50th minute of the game. One of Carapichaima:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Syne Village:s goal. In the 52nd minute there was a penalty for Syne Village. Devon Betancourt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Tiger. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Baksh in the 57th minute of play forced Syne Village's goalkeeper Cian Daoust to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ian Greenidge fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Syne Village's protests and gave Ian Greenidge a yellow card for diving instead. Cian Daoust took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Baksh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reyad Jorsling in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Tiger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vasant Mc Donald kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Syne Village's Devon Betancourt got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd of the match, Devon Betancourt tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jonathan Tiger got in the way and made a wonderful save. If Reyad Jorsling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 87 played minutes Carapichaima got a freekick which was hit by Basdeo Barriteau. If Reyad Jorsling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger got control of the ball when Reyad Jorsling tried to sneak it across the goal line. Syne Village played a much better game than Carapichaima and deserved their victory. The Carapichaima players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
