Seating: 1786, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raphael Morillo started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cobija's Tipi Tielve got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Arsenio Besosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esquipula Arias having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Cobija's goalkeeper Esquipula Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Besosa. In the 9th minute, Cobija's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arsenio Besosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Sorpresa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ederono Rosal in the 18th minute. After 23 minutes, Cordarrel Bullan made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sorpresa's Miro Armental tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huly Santillana in the 26th minute of play forced Sorpresa's goalkeeper Miro Armental to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Arsenio Besosa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cordarrel Bullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Miro Armental tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cordarrel Bullan in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miro Armental prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raphael Morillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Esquipula Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arsenio Besosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The Sorpresa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cobija were winning 0-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cordarrel Bullan to strike the kick off in the second half. Sorpresa's Miro Armental proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sorpresa from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cobija's zone, Arsenio Besosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esquipula Arias came out of the goal and Arsenio Besosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raphael Morillo struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Esquipula Arias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorpresa. In the 61st minute, Gomez Casaponsa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Raphael Morillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sorpresa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Chuan Montealegre kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Udalaitz Anguiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cobija's supporters rose to their feet, but Udalaitz Anguiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miro Armental breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cordarrel Bullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Sorpresa getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Azibar Basabe hit a great ball. Cobija's Cordarrel Bullan got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xzaver Carriles hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Arsenio Besosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huly Santillana might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miro Armental. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Huly Santillana ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cobija players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sorpresa.
