The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bladi Bujanda charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Quinto Chumacero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ryan Bureu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vigil Viñaspre in the 13th minute of play forced Apipe AFC's goalkeeper Ryan Bureu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinto Chumacero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryan Bureu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 15 minutes, Quinto Chumacero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quinto Chumacero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gero Arizabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Quinto Chumacero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baiarte Cossio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naike Sendin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Julian Zumiza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gero Arizabal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Uruguaya's Quinto Chumacero in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Baiarte Cossio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naike Sendin in the 47th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguaya's zone, Naike Sendin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baiarte Cossio came out of the goal and Naike Sendin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vigil Viñaspre to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Uruguaya's Ryan Bureu threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vigil Viñaspre, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Quinto Chumacero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vigil Viñaspre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ryan Bureu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baiarte Cossio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gero Arizabal went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 63rd match minute, Apipe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivon Sardaneta to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Quinto Chumacero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinto Chumacero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ryan Bureu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vigil Viñaspre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryan Bureu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Quinto Chumacero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uruguaya's Bladi Bujanda got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Uruguaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Rajo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naike Sendin in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baiarte Cossio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Apipe AFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
