After 35 minutes of play, Cobija's Huly Santillana made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafo Busquet was left in no man's land by his defense there! Demetrio Llaria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Cobija's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Udalaitz Anguiano in the 53rd minute. After taking down the ball on Cobija's corner Udalaitz Anguiano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Serafo Busquet quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordarrel Bullan in the 88th minute of play forced Itaugua's goalkeeper Serafo Busquet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itaugua's Serafo Busquet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Itaugua from getting a goal against them. Cobija's Esquipula Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliverios Sustaeta in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordarrel Bullan in the 94th minute of play forced Itaugua's goalkeeper Serafo Busquet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Huly Santillana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serafo Busquet. Itaugua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huly Santillana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
