Lixandro Montemayor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manny Villodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Yhaty AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Caracakingo Rosinos hit a great ball. Ariando Espinola's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lixandro Montemayor firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cortez Chamorro in the 16th minute of play forced Aurora FC's goalkeeper Valdo Reguilon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazcano Zalona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Valdo Reguilon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Lazcano Zalona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yhaty AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ariando Espinola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ariando Espinola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Lixandro Montemayor made a huge save. Valdo Reguilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lazcano Zalona in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Aurora FC booed when Yhaty AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lidon Robles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Ariando Espinola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute Lazcano Zalona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Reguilon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cortez Chamorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Reguilon having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cortez Chamorro made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Manny Villodas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Yhaty AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lixandro Montemayor should have stopped the shot. Yhaty AFC's Lixandro Montemayor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariando Espinola in the 63rd minute of play.
