Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alvarez Grado took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aldo Madrazo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Orti Caballol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garaona Orcondona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 played minutes Esportivo Caacupeño got a freekick which was hit by Colas Honorato. In the 12th minute Gualterio Beltranilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Poncio Olivan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Patrido Arriola came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pilar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrido Arriola couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Alvarez Grado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Poncio Olivan was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pilar's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Giraldo Barrillos was slow to take the kick. During this time Esportivo Caacupeño's players had a chance to rest. After 22 minutes, Alvarez Grado made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pilar's Poncio Olivan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vidal Vera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Orti Caballol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colas Honorato's late challenge caught a Pilar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Colas Honorato helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Esportivo Caacupeño's Colas Honorato got a free kick in the 27th minute. Fidel Diguja hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peruanton Regalado during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Peruanton Regalado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garaona Orcondona had several of the Esportivo Caacupeño's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Orti Caballol as he didn't even see the shot coming. Garaona Orcondona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Garaona Orcondona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garaona Orcondona to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Esportivo Caacupeño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giraldo Barrillos to maneuver through the defense. Patrido Arriola didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Garaona Orcondona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aldo Madrazo's late challenge caught a Esportivo Caacupeño's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 66th minute, Giraldo Barrillos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pilar's Poncio Olivan didn't even have to move. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Vidal Vera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidal Vera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orti Caballol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garaona Orcondona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orti Caballol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garaona Orcondona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualterio Beltranilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Esportivo Caacupeño getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Colas Honorato hit a great ball. Orti Caballol came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Pilar's Garaona Orcondona. But to his dismay, Garaona Orcondona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pilar had played much better football throughout.
