Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Garaona Orcondona got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Caacupe FC's zone, Vidal Vera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelito Zabaleta came out of the goal and Vidal Vera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Vidal Vera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caacupe FC's Marcelito Zabaleta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 20 minutes, Fidel Diguja mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilar and the Caacupe FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, Pilar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Diguja to maneuver through the defense. Lizer Gos kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Caacupe FC's Marcelito Zabaleta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garaona Orcondona in the 31st minute of play. Garaona Orcondona struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Marcelito Zabaleta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilar. When Jaime Remon came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Caacupe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Remon couldn't finish the play. Orlin Liendo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Jaime Remon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poncio Olivan having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garaona Orcondona in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelito Zabaleta saved Caacupe FC from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Remon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Vidal Vera sped through Caacupe FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelito Zabaleta. The supporters of Caacupe FC booed when Pilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Diguja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Remon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Poncio Olivan having to interfere. Marcelito Zabaleta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garaona Orcondona in the 65th minute of the match. Marcelito Zabaleta made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Vidal Vera sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Pilar's Vidal Vera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelito Zabaleta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After having played for 74 minutes, Garaona Orcondona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pilar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garaona Orcondona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Remon kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vidal Vera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 87 played minutes Caacupe FC got a freekick which was hit by Lizer Gos. Caacupe FC's Marcelito Zabaleta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Caacupe FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garaona Orcondona in the 92nd minute of play forced Caacupe FC's goalkeeper Marcelito Zabaleta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Remon kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
