After a defensive mix-up in Atajado's zone, Cibran Cerredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Jene came out of the goal and Cibran Cerredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladimiro Jene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xoan Torcida, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Atajado's Egoi Arana got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Egoi Arana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Virto was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Gonsalvo Penilla hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute Gonsalvo Penilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Virto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egoi Arana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Americo Virto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Berenguer Cisneros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Americo Virto was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Americo Virto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egoi Arana, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Americo Virto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egoi Arana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Americo Virto came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Atajado's Berenguer Cisneros. But to his dismay, Berenguer Cisneros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 45th minute, Diego Sobremonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xoan Torcida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Berenguer Cisneros made the kick off in the second half. Americo Virto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berenguer Cisneros in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Atajado booed when Atletico Ciclon Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gizon Balza didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led Atajado's Diego Sobremonte to fire away a dangerous shot which Americo Virto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Xoan Torcida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atajado's Vladimiro Jene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cibran Cerredo in the 75th minute of play. Gonsalvo Penilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Americo Virto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berenguer Cisneros in the 79th minute of play forced Atletico Ciclon Club's goalkeeper Americo Virto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Virto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Berenguer Cisneros's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Atajado's Berenguer Cisneros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Americo Virto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cibran Cerredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Jene having to interfere. Berenguer Cisneros might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Americo Virto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Berenguer Cisneros ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cibran Cerredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Atletico Ciclon Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Atajado's performance. The match ended with a win for Atajado.
