In the 22nd minute, Rodolfo Mondrevilla made a precise shot to the right of Jiang Hong Chen. Ciudad del Este's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Rodolfo Mondrevilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lesardo Barrio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 37thth minute of the game Mateo Antoniano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ypacarai's Gelacio Burguete was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Evelio Sayas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jiang Hong Chen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ciudad del Este's Maximo Hurtaran got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 44 played minutes Ciudad del Este got a freekick which was hit by Checa Bayona. After recieving a nice pass, Ypacarai's Dabi Garonaga tried to score from far away in the 44th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After the first half Ciudad del Este were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Gelacio Burguete made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuxila Botbol in the 56th minute of play. If Rodolfo Mondrevilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The Ypacarai supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ciudad del Este's performance. The match ended with a win for Ciudad del Este.
