The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee ignored Quyyndy FC's protests and gave Tomi Arruda a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Quyyndy FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomi Arruda. Richie Cabalar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonatan Riero went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christovao Ruete got free with Siro Alarcon in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henry Zuniga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Balanzuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Richie Cabalar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Siro Alarcon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Zuniga in the 28th minute of the match. Siro Alarcon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Zuniga in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ciriaco Balanzuela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quyyndy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Balanzuela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richie Cabalar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Jonatan Riero came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Quyyndy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonatan Riero couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Ciriaco Balanzuela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quyyndy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Balanzuela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richie Cabalar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richie Cabalar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciriaco Balanzuela's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Ciriaco Balanzuela made the kick off in the second half. Richie Cabalar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Balanzuela in the 53rd minute. Ciriaco Balanzuela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Richie Cabalar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, R 1980's Richie Cabalar got control of the ball when Jonatan Riero tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Quyyndy FC's Jonatan Riero made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richie Cabalar was left in no man's land by his defense there!
