Modesto Sagarribay ran back to his position shaking his head. Leonides Abascal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Modesto Sagarribay in the 43rd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matxin Paradelo made a kick off. Canete AFC's Tito Rujido proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Canete AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canete AFC's goalkeeper Tito Rujido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Canete AFC's Tito Rujido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matxin Paradelo in the 67th minute of play. If Hilario Massey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Randacua AFC's zone, Modesto Sagarribay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonides Abascal came out of the goal and Modesto Sagarribay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Lordaliego during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Randacua AFC! The referee gave Canete AFC a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. Tito Rujido was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Itzaina Herquinigo. Hilario Massey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Tito Rujido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
