The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Velasco Mayoral in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herauso Ontoria saved Red Bull F.C from getting behind. Herauso Ontoria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boni Mendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boni Mendi in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herauso Ontoria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 13 minutes of play, Red Bull F.C's Manu Estany made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vicemte Aldana was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Manu Estany got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Sopeña struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Vicemte Aldana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Bull F.C. Herauso Ontoria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boni Mendi in the 28th minute of play. Velasco Mayoral kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Herauso Ontoria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velasco Mayoral in the 34th minute of the match. Red Bull F.C's Herauso Ontoria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Mayoral in the 35th minute of play. Herauso Ontoria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boni Mendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Velasco Mayoral made a kick off. After some careless play in the Red Bull F.C defense, Velasco Mayoral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herauso Ontoria. The Red Bull F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herauso Ontoria should have stopped the shot. After 59 played minutes Platero got a freekick which was hit by Juan-Alfredo Cerdan. After 62 played minutes Platero got a freekick which was hit by Joanes Altemiz. Chaime Guisla didn't quite understand what happened when in the 63 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Lordi Rotges hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Red Bull F.C's Herauso Ontoria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull F.C from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Red Bull F.C's Herauso Ontoria got control of the ball when Boni Mendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manu Estany might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vicemte Aldana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manu Estany ran back to his position shaking his head. Red Bull F.C's Herauso Ontoria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Red Bull F.C from getting a goal against them. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
