Xavion Labarrita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gau Segovia having to interfere. Gau Segovia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perez Valdivieso in the 5th minute of the match. Xavion Labarrita succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. When Erramun Barrios fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia FC's protests and gave Erramun Barrios a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Colombia FC's Erramun Barrios got a free kick in the 9th minute. Montae Cepa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Goiz Novo went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mon Vilanova might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Montae Cepa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mon Vilanova ran back to his position shaking his head. Colombia FC's Montae Cepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goiz Novo in the 19th minute of play. Caaguazu's Sanduru Rael got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Montae Cepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goiz Novo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mon Vilanova recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mon Vilanova in the 31st minute of play forced Colombia FC's goalkeeper Montae Cepa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montae Cepa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goiz Novo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perez Valdivieso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Montae Cepa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mon Vilanova in the 40th minute of play. Colombia FC's Montae Cepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mon Vilanova in the 43rd minute of play. Goiz Novo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Montae Cepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Colombia FC got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Quiñones. After having played for 48 minutes, Mon Vilanova managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caaguazu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mon Vilanova was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Perez Valdivieso made the kick off in the second half. Caaguazu's Gaur Olivieri got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia FC's zone, Goiz Novo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Montae Cepa came out of the goal and Goiz Novo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colombia FC's Montae Cepa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goiz Novo in the 57th minute of play. Goiz Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gau Segovia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perez Valdivieso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavion Labarrita might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gau Segovia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xavion Labarrita ran back to his position shaking his head. Xavion Labarrita struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Gau Segovia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia FC. After 65 played minutes Caaguazu got a freekick which was hit by Ponciano Rael. In the 67th minute, Ponciano Rael hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Vasallo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Goiz Novo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Montae Cepa 70 minutes into the match. Goiz Novo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Montae Cepa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xavion Labarrita in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gau Segovia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Caaguazu's zone, Perez Valdivieso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gau Segovia came out of the goal and Perez Valdivieso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Goiz Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mon Vilanova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Goiz Novo came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Caaguazu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goiz Novo couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Caaguazu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colombia FC.
