After a rather tough play, Olimpiakos's Cai Uruñuela got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Aureo Masana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ofelio Posadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Porquera in the 8th minute of play forced Olimpiakos's goalkeeper Aureo Masana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavieon Rioz's late challenge caught a Mbopicua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xavieon Rioz helped the player get up and apologised. Xavieon Rioz hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Aureo Masana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ofelio Posadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurendi Riego kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Laurendi Riego was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mbopicua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olimpiakos the free kick. The supporters of Olimpiakos booed when Mbopicua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurendi Riego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uhin Escola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ramon Mañaria came out and tried to block the shot, but Uhin Escola slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 18th minute. In the 25th minute of the match Marco Irala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aureo Masana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Uhin Escola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Mañaria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Josue Urtiaga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramon Mañaria. Mbopicua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Josue Urtiaga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 41 minutes of play, Mbopicua's Ofelio Posadas made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aureo Masana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ramon Mañaria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uhin Escola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ofelio Posadas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olimpiakos's Uhin Escola got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josue Urtiaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ofelio Posadas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Uhin Escola came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Olimpiakos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uhin Escola couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Olimpiakos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Cai Uruñuela hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uhin Escola in the 89th minute of play forced Mbopicua's goalkeeper Ramon Mañaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Uhin Escola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramon Mañaria was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Olimpiakos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
