Llorienzo Pardaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zigor Peroalfonso in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Tuste Redin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Oto Gimilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 99th match minute, Emboscada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Vasco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 101 minutes, Bazkoare Hurtaran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abay AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bazkoare Hurtaran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abay AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
