The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Andres Sarralde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llorienzo Pardaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilen Arranz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Amado Leniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Totakoxe Roca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Leniz in the 15th minute of play forced Curuguaty FC's goalkeeper Totakoxe Roca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curuguaty FC's Totakoxe Roca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuste Redin in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Emboscada booed when Curuguaty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilen Arranz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Leniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Llorienzo Pardaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Sarralde in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ostots Baruz during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduardo Vasco kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, one of Emboscada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 2-0 came through a penalty shot after 36 played minutes, when Curuguaty FC:s Celso Osas calmly waited for Emboscada:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Gonzales Catanach charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzales Catanach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Curuguaty FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Otsando Arbulo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Tuste Redin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Totakoxe Roca having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amado Leniz in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Totakoxe Roca saved Curuguaty FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Inocencio Cogollor during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, one of Emboscada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Emboscada. The referee gave Curuguaty FC a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Celso Osas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Emboscada's Llorienzo Pardaves. 3-1. Urtsin Ugartondo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Llorienzo Pardaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Amado Leniz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Totakoxe Roca. Amado Leniz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Curuguaty FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Emboscada had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
