The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Estevez Tezanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bermudo Berrondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A wasted opportunity for Jjovy. 12 minutes into the game, Jjovy's Javier Esqueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eriberto Usarralde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bermudo Berrondo made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Jonathan Arteaga sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Estevez Tezanos in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bermudo Berrondo saved Jjovy from getting behind. A collision led to Jjovy getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Serafino Pescaredo hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Sapucay FC's Estevez Tezanos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bermudo Berrondo. Bermudo Berrondo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Jonathan Arteaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Arteaga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bermudo Berrondo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cuartio Lozada kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Javier Esqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Usarralde having to interfere. A collision led to Sapucay FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cuartio Lozada hit a great ball. Lalla Villanueva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Sapucay FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Transito Vidanes hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Arteaga in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bermudo Berrondo saved Jjovy from getting behind. Javier Esqueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eriberto Usarralde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Bermudo Berrondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevez Tezanos in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match Bero Raimundo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bermudo Berrondo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Arteaga in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bermudo Berrondo saved Jjovy from getting behind. Bermudo Berrondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Arteaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Estevez Tezanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bermudo Berrondo was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. When Jonathan Arteaga came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sapucay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Arteaga couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Arteaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bermudo Berrondo having to interfere. Javier Esqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eriberto Usarralde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bermudo Berrondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estevez Tezanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Javier Esqueira struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Eriberto Usarralde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jjovy. A hard shot 96 in the game by Lalla Villanueva from a close distance when the talented Eriberto Usarralde managed to make a qualified save. Sapucay FC's players were relieved. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
