The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nafarroa Guareña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciano Costoya in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Reynardo Riazos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Itacora's goalkeeper Cesareo Barroiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Ovin. Reynardo Riazos struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cesareo Barroiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester City. After a rather tough play, Leicester City's Xabier Olabarrieta got a free kick in the 21st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Itacora's goalkeeper Cesareo Barroiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Ovin. Cesareo Barroiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynardo Riazos in the 39th minute of the match. Cesareo Barroiz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Ovin in the 41st minute.
The wind increased when Ciano Costoya made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Ibar Sanabre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nafarroa Guareña. Ibar Sanabre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. A well-hit corner resulted in Veto Helica heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Ibar Sanabre came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Itacora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ibar Sanabre couldn't finish the play. Ciano Costoya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nafarroa Guareña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Leicester City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ibar Sanabre fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nafarroa Guareña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ibar Sanabre in the 69th minute. If Ibar Sanabre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Itacora's Jesco Tio got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The Leicester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chants of Itacora echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Leicester City had held the ball for most of the match.
