After 23 minutes Gurren FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dionisio Cecilia who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Guanes FC's Artizar Bolantin to fire away a dangerous shot which Orti Marcello despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Frasco Mendiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Candelo in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Guanes FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Igor Remesal hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Guanes FC's Igor Remesal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orti Marcello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 31 minutes into the game, Fausto Candelo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gurren FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guanes FC the free kick. Fausto Candelo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Mark Baraña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Baraña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orti Marcello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Baraña in the 63rd minute of play forced Gurren FC's goalkeeper Orti Marcello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Aranguren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Oscar Aranguren came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Guanes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Aranguren couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Gurren FC booed when Guanes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urtungo Oger didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Santxo Cena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Aranguren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Orti Marcello made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Gurren FC's zone, Mark Baraña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orti Marcello came out of the goal and Mark Baraña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orti Marcello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Baraña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gurren FC's Santxo Cena got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, Guanes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Baraña to maneuver through the defense. If Mark Baraña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Oscar Aranguren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orti Marcello was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Orti Marcello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Baraña in the 99th minute of play. Guanes FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
