If Sauveur Cia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Izel Gacel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyo Felix, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sauveur Cia in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chano Ybañez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zuri Casas kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Union defense, Sauveur Cia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chano Ybañez. The Union fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chano Ybañez should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the game, Inge Borines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loreto the free kick. The supporters of Loreto booed when Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Borines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izel Gacel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Union.
