Ballivian's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Saverio Sedeño 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Inacio Pliego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saverio Sedeño to strike the kick off in the second half. Saverio Sedeño blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferrer Isasaga having to make a save. Galtero Redondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferrer Isasaga having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uxio Ingueros got free with Bruno Arzuriaga in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ballivian's Ferrer Isasaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Galtero Redondo in the 65th minute of play. Saverio Sedeño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferrer Isasaga having to interfere. If Zumar Saldoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Octavio Labarrita, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. With a little luck, Sosa's Bruno Arzuriaga got control of the ball when Uxio Ingueros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ballivian's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
