When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Todor Erosa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Guillermo Valcuende to make any attempt to save it. In the 15th minute, one of Acahay FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Acahay FC. Guillermo Valcuende made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Emesto Amurrio sent off a good shot on target. Guillermo Valcuende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todor Erosa in the 26th minute of the match. Tulio Burgueño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Salomone Arista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Acahay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niva Talavera to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Todor Erosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guillermo Valcuende. Todor Erosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Emesto Amurrio came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guillermo Valcuende could save by the left post. Guillermo Valcuende made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Emesto Amurrio sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Guillermo Valcuende managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Caraguata AFC's Emesto Amurrio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Acahay FC's Guillermo Valcuende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todor Erosa in the 45th minute of play. The supporters of Caraguata AFC booed when Acahay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysidro Aribau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emesto Amurrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Valcuende having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Caraguata AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Acahay FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Caraguata AFC got a freekick which was hit by Efren Areizabal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Caraguata AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Acahay FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cleto Penagos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Caraguata AFC's Salomone Arista. 4-1. When Emesto Amurrio came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Caraguata AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emesto Amurrio couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emesto Amurrio in the 78th minute of play forced Acahay FC's goalkeeper Guillermo Valcuende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Ermano Chacin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acahay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caraguata AFC the free kick. In the 81st match minute, Acahay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermano Chacin to maneuver through the defense.
