The audience thought a goal was coming when Gelmiro Ledo got free with Fortun Espin in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yataity AFC's Romeo Riguera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarell Ganado in the 14th minute of play. In the 25th minute Cordarell Ganado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Riguera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortun Espin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frechoso Fidalgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gelmiro Ledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fortun Espin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Frechoso Fidalgo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yataity AFC's goalkeeper Romeo Riguera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Yataity AFC's zone, Cordarell Ganado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Riguera came out of the goal and Cordarell Ganado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Txilar Berrondo charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Txilar Berrondo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Txilar Berrondo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When Frechoso Fidalgo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Yataity AFC fans jumped to their feet. Yataity AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felix Velastegui in the 88th minute. The corner led Yataity AFC's Felix Velastegui to fire away a dangerous shot which Fortun Espin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gelmiro Ledo might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fortun Espin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
