But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliberto Arizmendez couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Orlando Herias hit a great ball. 2-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Nel Mendes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Guillelme Contero hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Rolando Villasante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Feliberto Arizmendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Moras AFC's Feliberto Arizmendez in the 26th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Fidensio Sorzano was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Newcastle United through an amazing save. If Isusko Magdaleno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Primo Castiñeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isusko Magdaleno in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Newcastle United's Joseph Vinayo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Newcastle United's Fidensio Sorzano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Arizmendez in the 38th minute of play. Nel Mendes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fidensio Sorzano firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Nel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moras AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fidensio Sorzano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peruanton Olarria struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Primo Castiñeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newcastle United. In the 48th minute, Newcastle United's Peruanton Olarria fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Primo Castiñeira was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliberto Arizmendez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Feliberto Arizmendez came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Moras AFC fans jumped to their feet. Feliberto Arizmendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidensio Sorzano having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Newcastle United got a freekick which was hit by Yaniusky Lazaro. In the 69th minute, Newcastle United's Peruanton Olarria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. If Peruanton Olarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Isusko Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primo Castiñeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan-Carlos Cabezon struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Fidensio Sorzano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moras AFC. In the 87th minute, Feliberto Arizmendez made a precise shot to the right of Fidensio Sorzano. Newcastle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Nel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 93 minutes, Feliberto Arizmendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moras AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Arizmendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Silguero's late challenge caught a Moras AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Silguero helped the player get up and apologised. Diego Silguero kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
