Intxixu Palma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernard Rugama having to make a save. Intxixu Palma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bernard Rugama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Breogan Sendin came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ybytymi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breogan Sendin couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Chupete FC's Intxixu Palma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernard Rugama narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ybytymi's zone, Intxixu Palma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Rugama came out of the goal and Intxixu Palma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cordarrel Lazaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breogan Sendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cordarrel Lazaeta in the 34th minute of play forced Chupete FC's goalkeeper Ubarna Omente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breogan Sendin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ubarna Omente having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ybytymi's zone, Perutxo Divaichin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernard Rugama came out of the goal and Perutxo Divaichin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Ybytymi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Intxixu Palma made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Chupete FC's Ubarna Omente got control of the ball when Breogan Sendin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Intxixu Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ybytymi's Breogan Sendin got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Chupete FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Amador Castellon hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, one of Chupete FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chupete FC. The goalkeeper, Ubarna Omente, was totally fooled by Ybytymi's Sandaili Borges, who 73 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cordarrel Lazaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cordarrel Lazaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ubarna Omente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Breogan Sendin got free with Ubarna Omente in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
